The XCERTS share details of “i think i want to go home now.” UK headline tour

The XCERTS have announced a headline UK tour for January and February 2026. The nine-date tour supports their sixth album, i think i want to go home now., which is out now via FLG Records.

Vocalist and songwriter Murray Macleod commented on the announcement, stating that the band are “delighted to announce our UK headline tour throughout January and February.” He added that they “purposefully wanted to give the album some breathing room for people to really digest the songs before we hit the road for our first headline run in support of the record.” Macleod also confirmed that the band intend to “dig deep into the back catalogue also and cover each album with intent.”

i think i want to go home now. was recorded by Larry Hibbitt at Beehive Studios. It marks the first time all three members – Murray Macleod (vocals and guitar), Jordan Smith (bass), and Tom Heron (drums) – wrote together in a room since their early releases. The album’s creation followed a two-year period that included the passing of Jordan Smith’s mother, Murray Macleod’s father’s cancer diagnosis, and the end of Macleod’s long-term relationship. The band state that the album returns to the raw sound of their earlier work, including In The Cold Wind We Smile, Scatterbrain, and There Is Only You.

The upcoming tour follows a series of in-store appearances and festival performances over the summer, which included a full album playthrough at 2000 Trees.

Tickets for the tour go on general sale on Friday, 9th October, at 10am BST. An artist pre-sale begins on Wednesday, 7th October, at 10am BST. Fans can sign up for the pre-sale here.
