Coming out to stir up the international music scene on the 23rd October 2026 via LAA is “Croatian Pop-Punk meets Techno Heavy Metal” solo artist Baby Lasagna, with the brand new album End The Party. Baby Lasagna is a larger than life genre-blending musician who’s real name is Marko Purišić. Marko Purišić was originally known for being a founding member of the Croatian Folk Rock band Manntra, however; Marko, now best known as Baby Lasagna, gained massive popularity across Europe when he represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024 with the visually catching and trademark high energy performance of the extremely catchy ‘Rim Tim Tagi Dim’. To this day, it’s still a staple of my playlists! This performance and track made history as Baby Lasagna became Croatia’s highest scoring Eurovision act since 1993, when Croatia first entered as an independent country.

I’d go as far to say that Baby Lasagna is one of the most exciting artists in the European music scene right now, with his work resonating most strongly with Millennial and Gen Z listeners, as he explores themes of modern anxieties and ambitions. It seems like just the right time then for us to jump onto these amazingly catchy tracks that I’m about to highlight to you.

My first highlight track of the album is ‘All The Wrong Directions’. This track is super energetic and chaotic, which is something that I absolutely adore about Baby Lasagna; it just gets you rocking out from the second the song starts. I also really love Marko’s vocal style, and have done since Eurovision 2024; it doesn’t matter how rowdy the instruments are, as soon as the vocals kick in you get the cool, collected and full of attitude vocals from Marko.

My second track that I want to highlight is ‘Face On Your Phone’. The intro to this track reminds me of a blend of ‘Rim Tim Tagi Dim’ with just a hint of ‘Cha Cha Cha’ (another Eurovision fan-favourite by Finland’s Käärijä). I also dare say that I can pick up on another song influence later in this track; vampire and Marvel fans will notice this straight away, with definite parallels with ‘Blade’ by D’Angello & Francis from the iconic second Blade film. Once again, the main reason I’ve picked this track is because of how gloriously catchy it is; it’s also rammed full of metal-style vocals which broadens the appeal of this album even further! On a personal note, I hope Baby Lasagna carries this style into future work, as I massively appreciate the level of diversity already on offer.

My third highlight track is ‘My Show’, which makes me feel like I’ve stepped back in time and am sat in my teenage bedroom listening to noughties Pop Punk on MTV. As a fellow Millennial, I really felt this track within my memories, especially the elements of old school Pop-Rock music, just pimped up a little with some of those metal-style vocals again. Overall, this track gives me BIG vibes of ‘Teenage Dirtbag’ by Wheatus, which is sure to bring indescribable levels of nostalgia to anyone that listens.

My fourth highlight track has got to be ‘Sedated’. This is another high-octane track with entertaining lyrics like “Momma told me not to do it, But I did it anyway” adding to the self-aware humour that Baby Lasagna embraces and loves to weave into his music. Something else I’d like to highlight about this track is how it feels like it has a little tribute to ‘Rim Tim Tagi Dim’; one of the standout lyrics “my anxiety attacks” will be instantly recognisable to fans of the iconic international breakout track!

My fifth and final highlight track of the album is the title track ‘End The Party’. As soon as the vocals kick in, this one straight away reminded me of the simply brilliant fun of ‘The Bad Touch’ by Bloodhound Gang. For me, it’s purely the style that Marko sings in at the intro of this track, but just like the majority of the rest of the album, this track is super high energy and a real ear-worm. I can just imagine how crazy the crowd will go for this track when it gets played live; the unbridled dancing and head banging that I can already visualise makes me absolutely determined to be a part of the party!

All in all, I think End The Party is an album absolutely packed with non-stop anthems, and I just couldn’t get enough of all the relentless tempo, versatile vocals and total fun. I actually found it tough to pick highlight tracks, such is the strength of the album overall. I also really enjoyed the diversity and balance across this album; even though it was so full of attitude and entertainment, it also had some more emotive tracks to lend a bit of extra depth.

Speaking of depth, I also particularly enjoyed the genre blending that went on throughout the album; as I mentioned before, Baby Lasagna don’t have any problems with weaving diversity into their work, experimenting with different vocal and instrumental techniques effortlessly. This new album demonstrates this flawlessly; one moment a song would not be out of place on a modern metal album, and the next second it’d be better at home in an electro-pop club (with splashes of traditional Croatian instrumentals for good measure!). For me, this makes an artist all the more unique and genuine; they are clearly comfortable in bringing out their own style rather than trying to conform to what they might be told style should be. It fills me with joy to see that music is constantly evolving along with the world; because we’ve got artists like Baby Lasagna that have no fear of boundaries and have no problem in in risking trying something new, it makes me all the more confident that the future of music is safe. I’m so looking forward to finding out what hype they’ll stir up next!
