Soilwork have released a new single, ‘Night Whispers & Shining Lights’, as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.
The single arrives while the Swedish band are on a European tour with Amon Amarth and Orbit Culture. Vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid says the song has been in the band’s vaults for a couple of years.
“‘Night whispers & Shining Lights’ is a hidden gem that’s been brewing in the vaults for a couple of years but celebrates our 30th anniversary and the embarkation of our tour with Amon Amarth and Orbit Culture in a grand way,” he says. “We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! See you on stage soon.”
Soilwork formed in late 1995 under the name Inferior Breed and changed their name to Soilwork in 1996. They come from Helsingborg. The band combine the basic elements of the Swedish melodic death metal sound with their own power-groove riffs and hooks.
To mark the anniversary, Strid and the band are running a year-long retrospective throughout 2026. Each month, they pick two albums from their catalogue and share previously unseen studio footage, rare media and behind-the-scenes stories with fans.
The band are on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and have an official website.
