Big Ass Truck I.E. have released their debut EP, Found On Road Dead, today through Nuclear Blast Records. The hardcore band from the Inland Empire in Southern California have also shared a video for the EP track ‘Big Ass Gun’. Chris Klumpp, who has worked with 156/Silence and Currents, directed it.
‘Big Ass Gun’ runs for just under two minutes. The band describe it as a fan favourite at their live shows. Its sound centres on heavy riffs, breakdowns and two-step grooves.
The five-track EP also features the previously released single ‘Dragging Meat’. The band combine metallic hardcore, big breakdowns and a monster truck aesthetic. The full tracklisting is:

Alongside the digital release, Found On Road Dead is available in several physical editions. The limited Black Tire Edition is a 10-inch, tire-inspired vinyl pressing. It goes on sale on 20th October, together with a new EP T-shirt. Two further vinyl variants, the F.O.R.D. Edition and the Crusher Edition, are up for pre-order from 20th October. The Crusher Edition is an independent record store exclusive. Both are due for release on 11th December.
Big Ass Truck I.E. will play a UK headline tour in January, with local hardcore band Pintglass in support. The tour also includes dates in Dublin and Belfast.
