Essex-based deathcore band BEYOND EXTINCTION have released a new single, ‘The Estuary’, from their upcoming EP, Three Swords. The EP is set for release on 23rd October 2026.
‘The Estuary’ explores the dark history of Essex’s waterways, including the Blackwater Estuary, River Thames, River Colne, and River Crouch, which the band state have been linked to disappearances and deaths over centuries. The Three Swords EP aims to reflect the history of Essex.
Vocalist Jasper Harmer commented on the EP and the new track, stating that Three Swords is about “dark roots and ugly truths” and showcasing the band’s musical approach. He described ‘The Estuary’ as an encapsulation of BEYOND EXTINCTION‘s deathcore sound, featuring “hammer and anvil classic breakdowns with huge, expansive double-downtuned riffs”.
BEYOND EXTINCTION have also announced a co-headline UK tour in March 2027 with Canadian band SALEM TRIALS. The “Cross-Atlantic Death UK Tour” will feature 10 dates across the UK, showcasing new music from both bands.
