King Buffalo‘s 7th studio album Doomsayer is coming out 4th of December 2026, mere months away, and it’s clear from the Greek urn inspired artwork that they are back to the land of myth and legend (my favourite KB song is ‘Cerberus’, so I’m very excited for this). With this exciting announcement comes ‘The Slick and the Dead’, the second song in the tracklist, full of their signature heavy bass grooves and epic narrative. It builds up slowly, with a seemingly endlessly repeating riff, before exploding into a moshpit maker of a chorus.
