Eville took to the stage, diving straight into ‘BR4T MBL’ which immediately whipped the crowd up into a frenzy. The electronic production combined with the heavy guitar riffs created such an electric energy that filled the room. Both Eva Sheldrake and Jude Richards‘ raw screams and clean vocals entwined together perfectly while still allowing each other to have a moment to shine.
I often find that Norwich crowds are very tough on openers but Eville had the whole, sold out, venue up and jumping from the very start and even managed to get a few crowd surfers due to their strong stage presence and magnetic sound. They then wrapped up their set by jumping into the middle of the circle pit to deliver their last few screams.
As December Falls returned to The Waterfront in Norwich in support of their latest album ‘Everything’s On Fire But I’m Fine‘. They took to the stage to a massive cheer from the crowd, jumping straight into ‘Angry Cry’. The entire front row was full of massive smiles from jumping fans as Bethany Hunter delivered incredible vocals, backed by Ande Hunter on guitar and backing vocals and Timmy Francis on Bass.
Their stage presence had doubled since they last played this stage a few years ago and their connection to their fans was put on display throughout the show as they made sure they knew how much they were appreciated for their support and allowing them to continue as an independent band.
The fans were in sync all night, singing each song louder than the previous one and adding in little claps in between verses. They were joined on stage by the ‘Grim Reaper’ who floated carefully over the crowd to the back of the room during ‘Grim Reaper’ before a flurry of crowd surfers then followed suit towards the stage.
The evening ended with a ‘fake encore’ narrated by Ande, allowing them to squeeze in one more song much to the concert goers delight.
