HÉR Unveils Ritualistic Debut Album Monochrome : Stream Now

HÉR have released their debut album Monochrome via Season of Mist, available now in full on the label’s YouTube channel. The Polish collective’s first full-length record blends Nordic fusion, free jazz, and ritualistic atmosphere, offering a meditative journey rooted in Old Norse poetry and Slavic melodic traditions.

The seven-track album balances restraint and intensity, featuring throat singing, bowed strings, and subtle electronics. Opening with the 10-minute ambient piece Chant, it progresses through tracks like Patience in Observation and Praise the Day, culminating in the reflective Farewell. The music evokes a sense of communion, merging ancient sounds with contemporary textures.

Recorded at Monochrom Studio with producer Ignacy Gruszecki and mixed by Marcin Bors, Monochrome highlights guest vocals from Magdalena Kuraś and stark artwork by Mary Zaleska. The band describes “Hér” as the Icelandic word for “here,” a call to embrace the moment through their art.

Critics have praised the album’s sincerity and atmospheric depth. Stream the full album here: YouTube Link. Pre-order or pre-save Monochrome via this link.
