Nottingham sisters Nyrobi and Chaya Beckett-Messam, aka ALT BLK ERA, kick off their UK headline tour at O2 Academy Islington on 21 May, before heading to Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol and Nottingham.
The tour celebrates their new EP Our World, out May 22nd via LAB Records. It’s the follow-up to their debut album Rave Immortal, which hit No.1 on the Official UK Rock & Metal Chart and won them a MOBO for Best Alternative Music Act.
Expect heavy basslines, distorted guitars, jungle-leaning electronics and the kind of yin-and-yang vocal interplay that’s already taken them to Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, Download and Later… With Jools Holland. NME called them “a force to be reckoned with.” The Guardian went with “industrial-jungle onslaught.” Both feel about right.
