Maggie Lindemann – O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, London – 20/04/2026

Maggie Lindemann returned to London to celebrate the release of her third album ‘I Feel Everything’. The fans were in for an excellent showcase of her growth as an artist as well as her full discography including all the fan-favourites and deep cuts.

Starting off the evening was Runaway Club who took to the stage with a massive roar from the crowd and they didn’t wait a second to fill the venue with their infectious energy. They didn’t leave a single inch of the stage or barricade uncovered as they ran and jumped around interacting with each other and the crowd for the whole set. Having only played their first headline show back in February, they took to the stage like a well-seasoned band as if they had been playing shows for years. Angelica Mackintosh delivered powerful rock vocals while Reece Wells (bass) added in some hip-hop verses. Their sound is very versatile allowing them to cover hit songs like Sombr‘s ’12 to 12’ as well as their own bass-heavy rock/hip-hop/Rumba-infused singles.

They currently only have one single ‘6 weeks’ out which is an angsty bop with their second single ‘Exist’ set to be released next week but this didn’t stop the crowd from jumping along to their whole set! I’m really hoping that ‘Good Girls’ will be released next as I have had it stuck in my head since the show! They set off on their first headline tour this October and you don’t want to miss it! I have no doubt that they’ll be playing arenas in no time as the love they have for being on stage was evident throughout and their stage presence was so strong already!

Next up was AFTERDRIVE who had a slightly lower energy indie-inspired set to serenade the crowd before the main act. Ben Watts‘ heartfelt vocals filled the atmosphere while Joe Watts (drums), Luke Ellis (guitar) and Ed Ruff (bass) created a dreamy yet catchy soundscape, reminiscent of The 1975‘s music, that had the crowd swaying along. They set the tone for their set with ‘Often’ before picking up the pace with ‘Necklace’ which featured a danceable beat and repetitive chorus allowing the crowd to join in despite being unfamiliar with this rapidly rising band. ‘What She Needs’ really let Ben‘s vocals shine through and light up the room while unreleased ‘Neon View’ was more upbeat and allowed the instrumentals to carry the track more while the vocals took a backseat. Ending their set with their latest single ‘Fashion’ allowed fans to see what sonic direction they are going in with their highly polished sound, it feels like they have really found their niche with this track.

After platforming two amazing up and coming bands, Maggie Lindemann took to the stage and immediately commanded the packed venue. The stage filled with spotlights and the crowd started chanting the lyrics to ‘fang’ without hesitation. Maggie‘s band members each had several opportunities to show off their skills through guitar solos and heavier baselines throughout the show while ensuring that Maggie maintained the crowd’s full attention with her breath-taking vocals. The twenty-six song setlist spanned her full discography with fans being particularly excited about songs from ‘PARANOIA’ and ‘SUCKERPUNCH’ which were met with big gasps from the audience.

Maggie took a second to perform ‘mourning’ sat down as her incredible vocals swirled and echoed around the packed-out venue. These slower songs really showcase her dark pop/ rock prowess where she manages to harness her intense feelings into relatable anthems for her fans, all while keeping her sound fresh through interesting production.

Jumping straight back into the hard-hitters ‘self sabotage’ and ‘crash & burn’ appeared to be fan-favourites as the crowd could be heard singing even louder than Maggie herself. ‘Evil’ created a really cathartic moment as fans screamed the lyrics back, letting out all their hurt.

‘Novocaine’ stood out to me in particular, it had a heavier arrangement for the live show, and it sounded immense and really upped the energy leading into the rest of the evening. After a brief mention of Maggie‘s debut album ‘PARANOIA’ which was met with loud screams from the crowd, the crowd surfers started heading towards the stage much to Maggie‘s surprise during ‘Scissorhands’ and ‘crash & burn’. The mosh pits commenced during ‘she knows it’ and slowly turned into dance pits which remained until the end of the show.

The use of slower songs throughout really helped keep a nice dynamic and made the heavier songs hit even harder. The crowd was kept engaged throughout by having them sing collaborator’s verses on the collaborative tracks before inviting a fan on stage to cover Julia Wolf‘s part of ‘2022’.

One notable thing about this show was just how much Maggie Lindemann‘s stage presence has improved since her last tour here, three years ago. She created such a magically experience for everyone in attendance by paying attention to all the minute details from the synced-up light show that reflected the colour of each era to dropping to her knees when the beat dropped in ‘heart drop’ which was so cinematic, these tiny details all enhanced her performance and took it that step further.

The evening ended with a room full of fans singing back; “why can no one ever hear me out?” which was so special considering Maggie made the music that made these fans feel heard and led them to that room while simultaneously making her feel heard in return. The very last song of the night was title track ‘I feel everything’ which was fitting, considering she spent the last hour and a half making sure everyone felt every emotion portrayed through her lyrics, vocals, and atmospheric production. This was certainly a performance to remember!
