Tonight, the O2 Ritz is setting up home for legendary Finnish rock band The Rasmus with Block Of Flats and The Funeral Portrait as support. The Rasmus’ latest album Werdio has taken the music scene by storm.
Block Of Flats
First Up Block Of Flats from Porvoo, Finland, the Modern indie punk rock band with a touch of metal, gets the crowd moving. They came out to prove a point on stage tonight, and their high energy and catchy songs definitely got picked up by the crowd!
The Funeral Portrait
Next up, The Funeral Portrait, the rock band all the way from Atlanta, Georgia, USA. From the moment The Funeral Portrait stepped foot on stage, you could see they were something a little special. Fans doted in small groups around the audience, dancing and singing along. The band was gathering up more and more fans throughout the show. They captured the audience; they didn’t just perform their music, they took it to the next level. They had fun with it and are a band that is going to get a massive following in the UK!
The Rasmus
On to our Finnish headliners of the evening, The Rasmus! Having just released their brand new album Werdio, the band came out kicking with high energy to Rest In Pieces. This gave the purple hues that the album’s colour is themed around. We jump right into Guilty, which delved into the deeper sections of their archives. Unfortunately, at this point, an emergency arose in the crowd with the band stopping all activity, and security and medical personnel from the O2 helped out with a life-saving emergency, which could have ended a lot worse (Big up to the O2 Ritz for being so on-point tonight and making sure the person got medical attention right away)
With tonight being a celebration of their archives alongside new hits The Rasmus showed true testimony to how strong they are still going from “In The Shadows” to “Werdio”, to “First Day Of My Life” The Ramus captured everyone’s hearts and attention they were here for a good time and they brought the amazing atmosphere and perfect energy for the night!
