Under the release radar – March 2026

Powerplant – Bridge of Sacrifice

Is this the most fun 2026 has had so far? Bridge of Sacrifice is a relentless unhinged collision of dungeon synth, punk, death rock and black metal that adds up to undiluted joy. I dare you not to dance. This is weird and wonderful chaos and it may not be for everyone, but if you’ve ever sat with a black metal album and thought damn, I wish this made me happy, Powerplant are waiting for you to do a lil’ shimmy in the purple castle.

Roko Banana – Gran Muralla

I love the Spanish scene and somehow Roko Banana had passed me by completely. Their newest record was a great starting point. Gran Muralla is 28 minutes of indie math with soul and tinges of emo that give it heart. Bursting at the seams with creativity, no two songs on here sound the same. Guitars make me feel like the sun is shining in my eyes, in the best possible way. Catalunya sends its regards.

Land Whales – How to Make a Breakfast

The Silver – Looking Glass Hymnal Blue

Volta – Nessun luogo né acqua

ARROKOTH – Avàvâgo Zamran!

teodioteodio – Echaremos el Cielo Abajo a Patadas
