Seattle punk rockers Filth Is Eternal are set to release a brand new studio album titled “Impossible World” on the 17th March via MNRK Heavy Records. The album is a follow-up to their previous album “Find Out” which was released in 2023. “Impossible World” addresses themes of a changing and increasingly restless world, with authenticity being sapped by out-of-control evolution with every passing day. Subjects tackled include gentrification, technology and authoritarianism. “Impossible World” is in itself an evolution from “Find Out”, with harmony and melody playing a much greater and more developed role.
This point of evolution is noted by Lis DiAngelo, the bands vocalist, who states: “I think the biggest changes from LP1 to now is that we’ve upped the intention by using more melody, harmony and singing in general. We’re working with aggression but moving towards something beautiful and true”.
To accompany the announcement of the album, the band has also released the first single “Stay Melted”. The band have also chosen to offer some commentary about the new single, stating: “the world can feel like a total crash fire to the point where we become lethargic. Lethargy makes us our own worst enemy, sometimes you have to kill a thing before you lose yourself to it completely”, and we couldn’t agree more.
