Gogol Bordello Announce New Album 'We Mean It, Man!' | Album Reviews & Releases

Gogol Bordello have announced their new album ‘We Mean It, Man!’, set for release on 13th February 2026. The album is co-produced by Nick Launay (Nick Cave, Gang of Four, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amyl & The Sniffers, IDLES) and Adam “Atom” Greenspan (Amyl & The Sniffers, IDLES) via frontman Eugene Hütz’s label Casa Gogol Records.

Following the release of the title track “We Mean It, Man!”, the band has now shared the second single “Hater Liquidator”, described as an uplifting dancefloor track with a positive message for our “Roaring and Warring ’20s.”

Musical Evolution

Inspired by their 2023 collaboration with Bernard Sumner (New Order, Joy Division) on “Solidarity,” the new album represents a bold continuation of that direction. The band has also shared two additional tracks, “Ignition” and “Mystics,” which demonstrate their fearless approach to creating grand arrangements that distill into impactful post-punk dance anthems.

About the Album

‘We Mean It, Man!’ features twelve punchy, hook-laden songs that fuse Gogol Bordello’s raw energy with electronic layers, loops, and gated-drum rhythms, a bold evolution of the experiments first explored on Gypsy Punks. Tracks include:

“No Time For Idiots” – a riff-punk blast with a massive chorus
“Life Is Possible Again” – a track of sharp optimism against all odds
“Solidarity (Nick Launay ft. Bernard Sumner)” – their latest take on the punk anthem

Eugene Hütz explains: “Gogol Bordello has always been a cross-pollinator. And ‘We Mean It Man!’ brings all our original inspirations together more than any other: punk, gypsy music, hardcore, and techno. I conceived this album as a collaboration with one of my favorite producers of all time, Nick Launay, who’s been so much responsible for the flourishing of post-punk as a genre. In terms of boiled down multimedia collage this is the best Frankenstein we’ve done since Gypsy Punks. This is our post-punk groove revenge.”
