Rapidly rising UK alt-rock stars DON BROCO released their new single “Euphoria” on the 21st November via Fearless Records. “Euphoria” is DON BROCO’s fourth release of this year alone, which has so far marked a slightly heavier phase for the Bedford outfit.
“Euphoria” is part sultry funk and another part head banging thunder, which opens calmly with smooth electronica and a partly synthesised vocal harmony. Being DON BROCO, the heavy drop is not far away though, and a groovy bassline works alongside thumping percussion to give out the serious attitude we’ve come to expect. We also noted the feeling of the energy behind this track coming and going in waves, almost putting into sound that feeling of euphoria and adrenaline as it washes over the body.
The band themselves have commented that “Euphoria is about chasing that rush of the first time, trying to recapture that brand new magical feeling again and again for the rest of your life.”
DON BROCO have been evolving of late, with their other three single releases this year showing a willingness to push boundaries and take a deep dive into other sub-genres of rock. The general story across previous releases “Cellophane”, “Hype Man” and “Disappear” has been one of chaos, sending a message that DON BROCO are not afraid to push the reset button and move firmly into their new chapter. Along with “Euphoria” the band have delivered a comprehensive showcase of their ability to explore real emotion while still raising pulses and energising audiences.
The band has just capped off the first part of a so far explosive North American tour, and are carrying serious momentum into whatever comes next. DON BROCO look to be absolutely unstoppable in this moment in time and we’re expecting huge things when a full album eventually drops. DON BROCO’s real strength though is on the live stage, which we saw first hand when they set the Download Festival’s Apex Stage alight this year – we’re so excited to be seeing them take this same swagger around the world!
