Canadian blues rock royalty The Sheepdogs are entering 2026 on a high with their brand new single release “Keep Out Of The Storm”, which is also set to be the title track for their brand new studio album due for release on the 27th of February 2026 via Right On Records. The new single really serves to reaffirm The Sheepdogs’ signature style, featuring familiar warmth and groove, confident and driving guitars, and reverb-heavy yet harmonious vocals courtesy of frontman Ewan Currie.

Currie has provided comment on the inspiration behind “Keep Out Of The Storm”, sharing: “We’re all trying to weather the storms in our lives… finding shelter, love and hope. This song is about that search and the belief that Rock ’N’ Roll can still be a sanctuary”. A strong statement that we don’t think many will disagree with.

The new single was recorded with the band’s longtime collaborator Thomas D’arcy and produced by Ewan Currie, moving on following for the first release without former drummer Sam Corbett – instead, a number of guest drummers have contributed to the upcoming album of the same name. This release comes off the back of a successful 2025 for The Sheepdogs, where they supported fellow Canadian Bryan Adams on a totally sold out arena tour.

The Sheepdogs are soon to kick off a marathon headline Canadian tour of their own in March, including what’s sure to be a massive hometown show in Saskatoon on the 18th April. Those on the eastern side of the Atlantic will not miss out though, as the band will be jumping over the pond later this year from November to December with a headline UK/EU tour, with the final show on 12th December at London’s Electric Ballroom.

On the upcoming tour, Currie comments: “We had a ball going cross country with Bryan. Now it’s time to run it back with our own headline tour”.
