It’s 5 pm in Bristol at The Prospect Building with fans queuing up outside the gate ready for tonight’s show with Yungblud. Tonight is the second show of the day for both Yungblud and many of his fans, who have returned from their early showing to witness the ‘Up Close and Personal’ Idols release, which was released in June 2025. With 2 hours until doors, The Prospect Building allowed fans into the courtyard early, with the atmosphere in full swing under the 31-degree heat. The earlier show had created an oven-like atmosphere in the Crane, setting the stage for another fantastic show!

As 7 pm came around, fans poured into the already hot room with security strongly on point of keeping everyone hydrated and safe. It was time for Yungblud to join his fans! The audience came alive the moment the band entered the stage. Up first was ‘Hello Heaven, Hello‘ Yungblud’s 9-minute song, which shows just how powerful Dom’s vocals are (You wouldn’t have figured just days before he was on vocal rest while suffering from tonsillitis). With the rest of the band taking a more casual, relaxed performance while sitting, it didn’t stop Dom from seconds into the song jumping up and down with his high energy and loveable personality showing through.
Swapping over to this black acoustic guitar for the feature album name song ‘Idols PT 1‘, Yungblud’s cheeky smile looking out into the audience and having them sing back word for word is truly a magical feeling! The stripped-back performance feels like a perfect piece of Yungblud’s nature, of it being about the fans and music! With that, our two songs in the photopit with Yungblud were up.

With the heat also rising, it was getting extremely toasty in the hall, but that didn’t stop Yungblud’s high-energy performance from slowing down with moving into ‘Lovesick Lullaby‘. Yungblud bandmates just fit perfectly together, just like a perfect glove. Throughout the entire set, it just felt like a celebration. A party and excitement of this special event. You can see how much this album just draws you in and keeps you there, and hearing it live first-hand makes it even more special.

With Dom picking up his acoustic guitar for the latest single ‘Zombie‘, which gets the crowd swaying and singing along to every word. From Security to the crowd, to the family and friends backstage, the feeling that you belonged was so strong and beautiful, hearing the vocals live to Zombie gets you connected to the people around you. It’s such a beautiful experience to hear it live for the first time!
Throughout his set, you can just see the passion that he has for performing. He apologises that Idols took years to make, which doesn’t feel that long ago since the self-titled album ‘Yungblud‘ came out back in 2022. These stripped-back shows that Yungblud creates just bring together everyone who belongs together. It makes strangers into friends, Friends into family, it’s a community and a safe space to be yourself.
Our final two songs for the evening are ‘Change‘ and ‘Ghost‘, which just top the evening off incredibly. It’s a taster of what the incredible growth and changes Yungblud has been through. His passion and soul are written into every note perfectly. The smiles he gives to the audience and his band while performing just show how much fun they are having.
