It’s a hot Saturday in Leeds, and fans are already piling into The Key Club for American gothic rock/heavy metal band Unto Others. With the room already getting hotter by the second, let’s get into the show!
High Parasite
First up for the evening is Yorkshire’s very own High Parasite. They aren’t strangers to The Key Club. With the 5-piece squeezing onto the stage, they might not have a lot of room to move around, but they know how to bring an incredible set to the table. Coming out to ‘Parasite‘ to kick off their set, the crowd is captured and drawn in. High Parasite’s pop-death sound is only enhanced by the brand new song ‘Cold‘, which takes High Parasite’s sound to an incredible new level. The audience is lapping up every second of High Parasites set, and so they should be! Other songs on the set list this evening were ‘Wasn’t Human‘, ‘Hate Springs Eternal’ and finishing on ‘Forever We Burn’. They definitely walked away with a few new fans this evening!
Unto Others
On to our headline band of this evening, all the way from Portland, Oregon, USA, is Unto Others, touring on the Never, Neverland tour. The four-piece takes to the stage. With the room heating up very quickly and many fans pushing forward to the dark stage, the band kick off with ‘Butterfly’ and ‘Momma Likes The Door Closed‘ taken from the Never, Neverland album, which was released back in 2024. Their high energy is being matched by the crowd, which is singing back every word. With the heat of the room rising at times, you wonder how the band can keep carrying on, but the powerhouse vocals and on-stage meet between guitarist and bassist is just so fast by the time you position yourself to look one way, it’s too late to capture the moments. Unto others does get their range of new and older songs into their mammoth set list with ‘Can You Hear The Rain‘, ‘Destiny‘, and ‘Dragon, Why Do You Cry?’. As well as more taken from the latest album ‘Time Goes On‘, ‘Flatline‘, and ‘Jackie‘. Which showcases every second of talent that Unto Others has.
