Harpy – Oslo, London – 01/12/2025 – ‘VII’ EP Release Show

Harpy held an EP release party at Oslo for her recently released EP ‘VII’ which takes us on a journey through her darkest secrets in the form of the 7 deadly sins.

From the very start, the evening was filled with electrifying energy. Dear Tash opened with an energetic rock set featuring new tracks ‘LEVITATE’, ‘OUTSIDERS’ and ‘FATAL’ as well as heavier ‘Blackhole’ which was brought out of retirement for this show and received many cheers from the fans. ‘Do I Wanna go In For The Kill?’ which samples Arctic Monkey’s ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ was an exciting twist on this anthem and a big hit amongst the crowd. Dear Tash brought the energy, stunning vocals, and funky bass lines.

Filthy Pig kept the energy up and the mosh pit going in between sets, playing all the fan favourites from artists like Limp Bizkit, Bring Me The Horizon, Wargasm, Bambie Thug and Cassyette as well as a remix of Harpy’s track ‘Call Me Mommy’ before ending his set with his original song ‘Hole’.

Harpy took to the stage and started with ‘Inferno’, the first track from the EP, symbolising ‘wrath’. The whole show was exhilarating to watch as the heavy bass and intense guitar solos filled the venue, and the full band dominated the stage with their stage presence. The mosh pit circled as Harpy filled the venue with intense screams and clean vocals. They played the EP in full before ending the set with a selection of fan favourite tracks including ‘Not My God Anymore’ and ‘Slaughterhouse’. This EP has really interesting production where each track is distinctly different from one and other but there’s still an element that ties them all together to flow nicely in the perfect order.

The standout moments for me were during ‘Torture’ where the repetitive lyrics “I’ll be whatever you want me to be” intensify and really show the pure emotion and amount of mental work and energy that has gone into this EP. Another standout track was ‘Call Me Mommy’ which has more upbeat electronic elements to it and is a more playful song before diving back into the heavy hitting deep cuts.

One thing that was made clear by the end of the night was that Harpy is certain of exactly which direction she wants to take her music in and her confidence on stage has grown so much since supporting Cassyette last year. This EP is one of the most exciting alternative releases this year. Harpy has really carved out her place in the alternative scene with her distinctive sound and I’m so excited to see where it takes her next!
