The iconic Norwegian Inferno Metal Festival, the longest-running metal festival in Norway, has just announced its third wave of bands, and it’s looking very promising!

Joining the already stacked line-up we now have the legendary Mayhem, one of the most influential bands in the Black Metal genre and also one of the most controversial ones. The Irish celtic black metallers of Primordial, who have not played in Oslo since 2017, are finally coming back to the festival.

Funeral, Norway’s classic death metal band who rarely performs live, is returning for a promising show. The Icelandic quintet Múr with their atmospheric progressive death trademark is also one of the highlights of the latest announcement.

Nite, Hierophant, Sovereign, Blodknoke, Cavern Deep, Automaton, Hevn III, and Voidspire are also joining the lineup that already includes Enslaved, Deicide, Old Man’s Child, The Kovenant and Samael. You can see the full poster below.

Tickets are available at the festival’s website and concerts will take place at Rockefeller, John Dee and many smaller clubs in the capital from April 2-5 2026.

There are still many more bands to be announced in the coming months, but this is already shaping up to be a very dark Easter in Oslo!
