The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed on Thursday (23) the nominees for the 97th Academy Awards ceremony, the world’s leading cinema award.
Among this year’s highlights is Emilia Perez by French director Jacques Audiard, which leads the race with 13 nominations, Brutalist and Wicked follow with 10 nominations each. Among the pleasant surprises is the Brazilian film Ainda Estou Aqui, directed by Walter Salles, which is up for Best Film, Best International Film and Best Actress – with Fernanda Torres representing the country.

Once again held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the Oscars 2025 will take place on 2 March 2025 and will be hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien.
