I have personally always been a massive fan of The original The Crow movie (Brenden Lee, 1994). So finally after this film came on amazon I wanted to watch it. Following the flow of the comic books this adaptation was a Long, Long watch it took us over 40 minutes to even get in to the main flow of the film (basically 40 minutes of this non existent build up) Followed by 20 more minutes before we even truly get somewhere to finding out a key piece of information. Even then the film has been brought up to a modern age which we didn’t need and at times was too clean of a film compared to its history and age of the other movies. Then what feels like a very rushed let’s throw as much action, lack of glore and just what seems to be a completely different film towards the end. Although some very famous quotes are scattered throughout the film such as “True Love Never Dies” and “When someone dies a crow carries their soul to the land of the dead” which are very beautiful references to the original 1994 film. If you are a fan of The Crow franchise then this would be one to watch but overall a good way to get you to sleep
